Pontica is an independent project, run by the operator of pontica.gg, who deployed the Pontica contracts on Robinhood Chain and runs the inference gateway. It is not run by, or affiliated with, Robinhood, OpenRouter, Paxos or any model provider.

By using the site, the contracts through the site, or the API, you accept these terms. If you do not, do not use them. You are responsible for following the laws that apply where you are.

OBOL is a credit for inference. Activated, 1 OBOL is $1 of API balance at the model's list price on OpenRouter, less the activation fee shown on the chain.

• It is not an investment, a deposit or a share of anything. Holding it earns nothing by itself.
• It cannot be redeemed for cash. Nothing onchain turns OBOL back into USDG. You can offer it to other buyers on the book at a discount, if a buyer wants it.
• No refunds, except the refunds the AI Funding contract itself pays under its own rules.
• Activation burns OBOL and cannot be undone. An activation to the wrong wallet cannot be taken back.

The Pontica contracts are non upgradeable code on a public chain. They are tested and their source is verified on Sourcify, but no audit is claimed, and a bug cannot be patched in place. You can lose what you put in. Do not put in more than you can afford to lose.

The owner's powers are written into the contracts and limited to: changing fees within hard caps (an increase waits a day after it is announced), setting the treasury address, setting the referral share within its cap, pausing new listings, buys, funds and stakes, and setting the stake token once. Pausing never blocks claims, cancels, refunds, draws or withdrawals, and the owner can never move escrowed OBOL, USDG or backers' funds.

Transactions you send are final once Robinhood Chain includes them. You pay the network's gas in ETH.

Pontica runs on USDG (Global Dollar), a stablecoin issued by Paxos: ETH you pay is swapped to USDG, and the book pays sellers in USDG. Its issuer can pause USDG or freeze any address, and it can change the USDG contract. Nothing in Pontica can undo that:

• If the issuer freezes your address, you cannot move USDG; claim your book proceeds to another address.
• If it freezes the treasury, minting stops until the owner sets a new treasury.
• If it freezes the Exchange, sellers' USDG proceeds stay there until the freeze is lifted.
• If it pauses USDG, every step that moves USDG stops until it is unpaused.

The inference gateway is a service, not a contract, and it can stop: the operator's OpenRouter key can expire, OpenRouter or a provider can be down, or the operator can stop running it. Your activated credit stays recorded onchain, but it may not be spendable until the gateway returns. There is no promise of uptime.

The gateway has known limits, described in the API reference, including a ceiling of about 10,000 keys in its current design.

Model prices are OpenRouter's list prices and can change at any time, as can the models on offer. A request costs what OpenRouter reports when it finishes, which can differ from the estimate shown before you send it.

OpenRouter checks a key's limit when a request starts and charges when it ends, so requests running at the same time can end above your limit. That overshoot counts against your wallet: your key stays blocked until a new activation covers it.

Anyone can create a fund, and funds are not vetted. Titles and links are written by their creators; Pontica does not check them and is not responsible for them. Reaching a goal is not a promise that the work gets done.

The PonticaFunds contract decides refunds and draws by its own rules, set out in the docs: after a fund succeeds, backers cannot take their OBOL back. Pontica may hide a fund from its lists for spam or abuse; the chain keeps it.

OpenRouter's terms and the terms of each model provider apply to every request, and either can refuse, filter or block one. Do not use Pontica to break the law, to harm others, or to get around a provider's rules.

Your key spends your balance: keep it private, and treat it like a password. The operator can disable a key at OpenRouter when it is used to break these rules; the credit stays recorded onchain.

The site, the gateway and the contracts are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind. As far as the law allows, the operator is not liable for losses from using them, including losses from bugs, from the chain, from USDG, from OpenRouter or the providers, or from what a model writes.
